Nathan and Prof. McCain visited the 32nd Street School as guest speakers for the USC Wonderkids Program. We taught 6-8 year olds about the anatomy of the heart, and had the students measure their pulse before and after jumping jacks. We also taught them about 3-D printing and made "tissue engineered hearts" from beads and clay. Thanks to DJ Kast from the USC Joint Educational Project for making the connection!

Today we welcomed 11th grade physics students from Orthopaedic Medical Magnet High School for a field trip. Students were learning about centrifuges in class, so we showed them how we use centrifuges in our research.
